It’s been a difficult weekend for emergency services as they were faced with a number of tragic incidents across Greater Manchester's roads.
A schoolgirl, two men, and a woman in her 30s have all died on the region’s roads this weekend.
Meanwhile a 75-year-old woman and another child are in hospital following incidents on the highways.
The first incident was on Friday night (December 17), when a woman died after being hit by a tram close to Droylsden Metrolink station, in Tameside.
The pedestrian - aged in her 30s - was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency crews were first called to Market Street, in Droylsden , just before 8pm following reports of a collision.
