Newcastle have reportedly joined Manchester United and Arsenal in the race to sign Alexander Isak this summer.
The Sweden international has been linked with a number of clubs over the past year, having impressed for his country at Euro 2020. Isak was touted for a move during the January transfer window, although he ended up staying at Real Sociedad.
There are plenty of rumours though that he could be on the move during the summer, with United among those tipped to sign him. The Reds will be on the lookout for a new striker, with interim manager Ralf Rangnick identifying the position as a priority.

With Edinson Cavani looking set to leave, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s future remains up in the air, United are likely to target a new frontman. Isak is one of the many names linked, but they wouldn’t be the only club interested.
Arsenal have also been linked and, according to the Daily Mail (via Caught Offside) Newcastle have now joined the race for the 22-year-old. The Magpies were the busiest club during the January window following their Saudi takeover, and they look set to feature heavily during the summer as well.
Elsewhere, Paul Pogba will reportedly have to take a major pay cut if he is to secure a return to Juventus this summer. The midfielder looks likely to leave United for a second time, although his next destination remains a mystery.
The France international has been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid as his contract nears its expiration at Old Trafford. A return to Turin could also be on the cards, with Juventus reportedly interested in signing the 29-year-old for a second time.
