A man has been charged with the murder of Elinor O'Brien, 22, who was found with stab wounds at an apartment building in Manchester city centre last week. She later sadly passed away in hospital.
Kevin Mannion, 44, is accused of murdering Elinor at Great Northern Tower on Watson Street on Tuesday, August 16. Mr Mannion, of Watson Street, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of section 18 assault and appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Friday (August 19) charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, where he was remanded into custody.
After Elinor passed away later, he has since been charged with murder and is now set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday (August 24).

Tributes have poured in for the 'beautiful' and 'loved' young woman, who would have turned 23 next week. One woman known to Elinor said she 'lit up the room with her infectious smile and laughter'.
"Many hearts have been shattered and will never be the same. RIP our angel," she said.
Another woman posted on Facebook: "We will miss you Eli, beautiful inside and out. Taken too early. May you rest in peace now."
Another wrote: "I can't actually believe what I'm reading. I worked with Elinor for years and had the pleasure of being one of her friends, she was a beautiful girl who deserved much more and you will be truly missed. Rest in peace gorgeous girl."
