A man was arrested in a south Manchester park after another man was assaulted. Officers responded to reports that a man had been injured at an address in Parrs Wood Road, Didsbury, at about 7am today (Monday).
Two men, both in their 40s, required hospital treatment for minor injuries. Both have been arrested on suspicion of assault.
One of the men was detained by officers in Fog Lane Park. A picture of the moment he was arrested has been shared with the Manchester Evening News .

It is understood that the assault is being treated as a domestic incident and there is no wider threat to the public. In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers attended an address on Parrs Wood Road, Manchester, at about 7am today (20 June) to reports a man had been injured.
"Two men, both in their 40s, required hospital treatment for minor injuries and both have been arrested on suspicion of assault."
