Francesco Giordano, 79, passed away as a result of Covid at Tameside General - just 12 days before his wife Joan of nearly 50 years also died.
The Stockport inquest heard how Joan joined him at his bedside and held his hand 'for a few hours'.

Daughter Lucia, 45, said: "He was scared and he kept telling her how much he loved her.
