Forensic officers have been probing a house in Atherton after a man was found with life-changing injuries.
Police were called to Gadbury Fold at around 8.05am on Sunday (July 31) to reports of seriously injured man. He remains in intensive care, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said.
An investigation was launched and crime scene investigators have been searching an address on the street since Sunday. Police said the search was set to finish on Wednesday night.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called to an address on Gadbury Fold in Atherton at 8.05am on Sunday 31 July 2022 to reports of a seriously injured man. The male has sustained life-changing injuries and remains in intensive care.
"Wigan CID are currently investigating, and officers and forensic experts have been conducting a search at the address, which is likely to be concluded on Wednesday evening.
