The police watchdog has launched an investigation after a man's body found on the M67 was reportedly hit by a Greater Manchester Police vehicle.
Officers were called out to reports of a body found near junction two, at Denton, at 7am today (December 18).
Emergency services attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Now, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has confirmed it is investigating GMP's response to the incident this morning.
It says a police vehicle is believed to have been 'one of several' which hit the body on the M67 in Tameside earlier today.
