A Wigan pub is giving away breakfasts this weekend - but there’s a slight catch. Customers who visit the Bay Horse Hotel must abide by the rules to bag a free brekkie.

A number of Flaming Grill pubs are hosting a one-off event to launch their brand new Texan inspired breakfast menu, and across 30 of the sites, will be dishing out free meals with a Wild West twist.

But of course, it might have sounded a little too good to be true. That’s because customers wanting to get their hands on the freebie this weekend must dress up in their best cowboy or cowgirl getup and use the code word.

Between Friday, July 15 and Sunday, July 17, punters can choose to rock their chaps, bandanas or settle on a Stetson hat, and must greet the team with a ‘howdy’ to claim the meal.

In doing so, customers will earn themselves breakfast on the house at the Wigan pub, choosing from either Texan Beef Tater Tots or Texan Tater Tots from the new menu.

The limited edition menu is only on offer until September 1, and features six new mouth-watering dishes, including Breakfast Tacos, which are three soft tortilla wraps filled with guacamole, cheese, smashed hash brown bites and free-range scrambled eggs, and Pan-chos, offering buttermilk pancakes with chopped banana and strawberries, topped with chocolate flavour sauce, maple flavour syrup and Greek-style yoghurt.
