Nokia's relentless resurgence back to notoriety continues, and the firm that once monstered the mobile phone industry has now turned its hands to tablets.
The T10 is the tablet I've been testing, and it launched this summer, promising a tough build, top specs and a tantalising price.
Shop around and you'll manage to pick one up for £129, so they're certainly cheap. Confusingly, it's not a full-size 10" tablet, but a more compact 8" tablet. For a 10" version, you'd need Nokia's T20 - which can be had for a similar price.
But the T10 is the newcomer and it also ticks the tough box, with a unibody polymer body and a nano-textured finish, along with IPX2 water resistance.
It runs on Android 12, It has a Unisoc T606 chip with 3GB of RAM, and there’s 32 GB of storage with potential of 512GB of expansion via a microSD slot.
The camera is pretty mild, with just 8MP to the rear 2MP on the front, but for a budget tablet, they work fairly well.
It does have a few clever tricks up its sleeve though; things you'd normally expect on premium tablets. Face recognition is included, and works well, and it has an IPS display which, if you've ever used one, you'll know why that's a good thing.
Battery life is good, considering its fairly small 5,250mah battery, helped by a relatively low screen resolution and an economical processor.
On that note, it will handle some of the big games, but do expect the odd hiccup if you really push it. The T10's strength is really as a family-friendly device for streaming, video calls, internet browsing, and casual gaming.
Handily, it also connects to the 4G network via a nano sim, which means not only can you use it online without WiFi, but you can also make voice calls. This is a proud bost for a tablet
