Just days before the show's final, AJ had to have an emergency scan due to the agony.
Along with dance partner Kai Widdrington, she was set to dance-off against John Whaite and Johannes Radebe and Rose Ayling Ellis and Giovanni Pernice this weekend.
A show insider told the Mirror they were 'hopeful' AJ would still be able to take part in the final, but she is 'currently trying to rest her foot.'
