Tyson Fury confirmed that he was retiring from boxing after his knockout victory over Dillian Whyte in front of a sell-out crowd at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night. The Wythenshawe fighter triumphed in the sixth round in front of a crowd of 94,000 people to retain his WBC heavyweight title.
He said after the fight that he would be sticking to a retirement promise he had made to his wife Paris. Speaking to BT Sport he said: "I promised my lovely wife Paris that after the third fight with Deontay Wilder that would be it and I meant it.
"I then got offered to fight at Wembley and I thought I owed it to the fans, to every person in the United Kingdom, to come here and fight. Now it's all done I have to be a man of my word. I think this is it, it might be the final curtain for The Gypsy King and what a way to go out!"

And Paris, who married her teenage sweetheart Tyson, 33, in 2008, was all smiles as she handed over to 'next leading lady' Molly-Mae Hague. Paris, 32, posed backstage with Molly-Mae, the girlfriend of Tyson 's brother Tommy, 22.
"The next leading lady there @mollymae with her @tommyfury winning tonight a beauty inside and out," she wrote as she shared a snap of the pair together on her Instagram Stories. And Molly-Mae, 22, replied with a crying emoji: "My leading lady always."
