Travellers can take popular rail journeys across the north for just £1 this autumn, as Northern's flash sale enters its final hours.
Tickets for routes such as Sheffield, Preston, and Liverpool to Manchester Piccadilly have had their prices slashed, as Northern reveals the 'top 10 trips' available in the sale - several of which run from Manchester.
The reductions mean customers can make a return trip on the popular routes for as little as £2. But, tickets need to be snapped up quickly as the sale ends at 4pm today.

The reduced fares are perfect for both commuters or those looking for a cheap day out, with both city and rural destinations available.
Four of the 'Top 10' sale routes run from Manchester Piccadilly. These are Manchester to Sheffield, Manchester to Preston, Manchester to Liverpool, and Manchester to Buxton.
Other popular journeys with reduced prices include travel between Leeds and Hebden Bridge, York and Leeds, and Hull and Leeds.
Mark Powles, customer and commercial director, said: “As we enter the final hours of our Flash Sale, I’m pleased to say there are still some great journeys up for grabs for just £1. Customers have until 4pm today to buy their tickets.”
Sale tickets are available between Tuesday 6 September and Thursday, 20 October 2022, and can be booked online or through the Northern app.
