Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow have issued a statement to confirm the departure of Head of Sports and Development Ralf Rangnick to Manchester United.
The experienced German coach, who joined the Russian club back in July, has joined United on a six-month contract to become the club's new interim manager.
Rangnick will oversee first-team responsibilities until the end of the season, before going upstairs and into a consultancy role, which will see him play a key role in the direction United head in as a club.
With his appointment at Old Trafford having now been announced, Lokomotiv have issued a statement to thank him for his time and his work during his short spell at the club, as well as wishing him the very best at United.
