The mayor of Liverpool has spoken out after videos of a couple having sex in view of hundreds of bystanders in Concert Square went viral.
Clips have emerged showing a man and woman having sex just a few yards away from drinkers at Einstein Bier Haus. Although members of the public began filming the couple with their phones, the pair didn't seem too bothered.
Footage also emerged apparently showing the couple having sex in Bold Street and what appears to be a Merseyrail train. The videos began making the rounds on social media on Tuesday with a wide range of reactions, going from amusement to disgust.

Among those who are shocked by the footage is Liverpool's mayor, Joanne Anderson, who spoke about the 'disturbing' videos on social media. Writing on Twitter, she said: "I am extremely shocked and concerned at videos circulating showing acts of indecent exposure and sexual activity in our city.
"This isn’t amusing – it’s disturbing, damaging and an illegal act. It also sets a dangerous precedent for the young women & men of our city.
"Let me be clear – this is a criminal offence. Acts of indecent behaviour in public places in Liverpool is simply unacceptable and will not be tolerated. I have spoken with Merseyside Police and requested immediate and appropriate action."
The Liverpool Echo reports that an Instagram account appearing to belong to the woman in the video states that she is an "adult content creator," who also posts on OnlyFans - a popular platform for sex workers and those who make adult content. The Instagram account's bio even includes #ConcertSquaregirl.
