Gemma Owen has clapped back at any comparisons between herself and Molly-Mae Hague as the former Love Island star launched her first edit with Pretty Little Thing. It was announced back in August that the teen Love Island star would be the brand's latest ambassador.
Molly-Mae, who also shot to fame on the ITV2 dating show in 2019, also signed with PLT when she left the show's famous villa and the 23-year-old has since become a creative director for the fashion brand.
When speaking about her edit with PLT, former footballer Michael Owen's daughter responded to claims she's following in Molly'-Mae's footsteps. "I think my style is timeless and in the moment," she said. "I think my edit is mine, it's true to me and what I am."

Gemma also added to OK! magazine : "I think obviously, I've got a lot of respect for Molly-Mae, and she's an inspiration to a lot of girls. But I think we are completely different people, I like to think I’m unique. I think my style is timeless."
The 19-year-old told the publication that her new edit is "gorgeous" and is "inclusive for everyone". She added: "The edit is very much sort of neutral tones, which I think is quite standard for me! And yeah, it has cream, beige, chocolate, and a few olive colours in there, which is gorgeous.
"So yeah, I think there is definitely something for everyone. I think the sizes go from six to 26. So it's definitely really inclusive and has something for everyone."
