Coronation Street star Antony Cotton has shared a 'welcome home' message to his on-screen son as he teases the young actor's return to the cobbles. The actor, who plays Sean Tully in the ITV soap, posed alongside Liam McCheyne who is set to return as Dylan Wilson.
The character was last seen in 2020 as he tried to bond with his dad by staying with him in Weatherfield. It marked a decade since Dylan, whose Sean's son with his friend Violet Wilson, was last seen on screen, despite having been regularly mentioned. But the father-and-son relationship hasn't been seen since Dylan left to return to London with his mum.
While his comeback has now been confirmed, Antony teased the news with us earlier this year. He told the Manchester Evening News: "I have great year ahead - Sean is going to finally get his son Dylan back home for a great run of storylines that will map out the next 12 months. There also may be some love on the horizon too…"

Taking to social media over the weekend, the soap star posed with Liam with their arms around each other at the Salford-based set in the Grimshaw house, which is occupied by Eileen, son Todd, lodger Mary, and now Eileen's boyfriend George.
"Finally got a pic with @liammccheyne on the Grimshaws set, Number 11 Coronation Street, my home from home for the last 18 or so years," Antony wrote alongside the sweet snap. "I've known him and his brother @connormccheyne since they were babies. Liam is back playing Dylan. Welcome home, son."
