Coronation Street fans think they have spotted a couple of issues as Kelly Neelan kickstarted her plan to have Gary Windass killed. On Sunday night viewers of the ITV soap saw the start of the explosive storyline when the teen discovered her guardian was responsible for her dad's death.
Rick's former office assistant Sharon couldn't continue to lie for Gary after Kelly showed her evidence that her mum Laura couldn't have been responsible for killing her dad as she was on holiday at the time. After her earlier visit to Gary left her feeling uneasy, Sharon ended up spilling the truth to Kelly, who immediately burst into tears and couldn't believe what she was hearing.
And as Corrie returned to screens on Tuesday night (September 20), viewers saw exactly what Kelly planned to do with the information - and it wasn't simply going to the police. Seconds into the episode they were freaked out by the menacing sight of Kelly appearing behind Gary wielding a baseball bat to the pounding soundtrack of Massive Attack's Angel.

But the bat suddenly disappeared when Kelly was disturbed by Maria Windass, showing Kelly was clearly imagining how she could do away with her guardian who she has been living with, unaware that the former loan shark killed her dad back in June 2019 after Gary discovered that his boss had planned to bury him alive.
And it was clear Kelly couldn't shake off her feelings of wanting to kill Gary as her late dad suddenly appeared in ghostly form, urging her on to commit murder.
