Creepy act The Witches returned to Britain's Got Talent to terrify the judges, and chaotic scenes ensued as Amanda Holden went 'missing' after being chased with a rat. The stooped witchy character, who in the audition stage terrified Amanda by crushing an apple into a ball of maggots, was back with another bag of tricks.
The judges Amanda, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell were asked to pick a piece of paper from the bag that bore various fears - maggots, tapeworm, earwigs and finally rodents. Both Amanda and Alesha fled as a real rat appeared on the judges' desk, and the witch chased screaming Heart Breakfast presenter Amanda with the animal in his hands asking 'what's the matter Amanda?'
With Amanda still AWOL the act suddenly disappeared. And baffled hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were left to take to the stage to introduce the next act during the live semi-finals.

"The act's kind of disappeared and we've lost a judge," they puzzled. And Dec decided: "Let's just get on with it." While praise came pouring in for the spellbinding act, viewers accused the judges of ''ruining' it by 'spotlight stealing.'
@bozza1996 tweeted: "The judges ruining the act! The witches! Such an amazing act." And @NeonBlazingstar said: "Judges ruined it with their spotlight stealing the witch was the act not the judges."
During the act the judges burst out laughing when comedian David joked that singer and rapper Alesha's 'fear' was her band Mis-Teeq reforming. And he quipped that Simon's was 'losing the phone number for my plastic surgeon.'
