LS Lowry and Pierre Adolphe Valette might be some of the most famous painters to come out of Manchester, but they won't be the last.
With waves of students coming to the city to learn their craft, Cass Art on Oldham Street in Northern Quarter is catering for them. One of their staff is David Greenwood, who now lives in Salford.
He's a symbol of the artistic community. So, what makes him tick?

Albert’s Shed in Castlefield.

Probably around the Northern Quarter, Ancoats, and down Canal Street. Chorlton, as well.
- What’s your favourite Mancunian neighbourhood?
I really like where I live, in Salford, on Fire Station Square. It’s really starting to happen there.

Neither.
- Your favourite city pub is…?
Tariff and Dale.
- Liam or Noel?
If I was to choose, Noel, I think.
- Who is your favourite city ‘character’?
The guy with the bike and the ghetto blaster. You can set your watch to him.
- What’s the one thing you’d add to Manchester if you could…
I would dig up Piccadilly Gardens to make it more friendly. I’d make it more botanical and family friendly.
