Police have issued an appeal after headstones were damaged in a cemetery in Tameside.
Officers said the incidents were reported to them between June 23 and June 24. Several gravestones in the Dukinfield Cemetery and Crematorium were damaged overnight.
Police described this as a 'despicable crime' and vowed to find those responsible. They issued an appeal on social media for anyone with information to come forward.

In full, the appeal on the GMP Tameside Facebook page said: "We have been made aware of a number of headstones being damaged at Dukinfield Cemetery & Crematorium overnight between 23/06/22 and 24/06/22.
"This is a despicable crime that will cause much distress to families of the loved ones laid to rest at the cemetery. We are seeking any information, Dash Cam footage, mobile phone footage etc. that may assist in our investigation.
"We intend to identify those responsible and bring them to justice. If you do have any information, please ring 101 quoting CRI/06GG/0014875/22."
