Firefighters were called to a block of flats in Bolton after a kitchen fire caused part of the building to fill with smoke.
Residents at Clarendon Gardens in Bromley Cross called 999 at around 12.30pm today (Monday, November 22) after finding the corridor outside their apartments was thick with smoke.
Crews from Bolton's Central and North fire stations were able to get the blaze under control after around an hour at the scene.

Fortunately, nobody was injured in the fire.
