Ellie Warner's boyfriend Nat Eddleston makes 'appearance' on Gogglebox for first time since horror crash

Gogglebox viewers expressed their joy at seeing Ellie and Izzi Warner back on the show, as Ellie's boyfriend made a rare 'appearance' sounding happy and stable.

The Channel 4 duo from Yorkshire returned following a momentary hiatus while Ellie supported her boyfriend, Nat Eddleston, who was rushed to hospital last month after being hit by a car during a night out in Leeds. Nat was left severely injured, including suffering a broken neck, a broken back and two collapsed lungs, and was admitted to intensive care following the horrific incident.

Fans tuning into Friday night's episode (May 13) were relieved to hear that Nat seemed to be recovering well, as he spoke to Ellie over the phone jokingly about marriage during the start of the show.

In the scene Ellie told her sister Izzi that Nat wanted a shotgun wedding, and she thought this meant that he wanted to get Ellie pregnant before they tied the knot. To clear things up, Ellie decided to give her partner a call, where she asked: "What did you think that a shotgun wedding meant?"

He replied: "That you're forced to get married." Izzi burst into laughter as Ellie quizzed: "Do you know why though?" He responded with: "Because you got someone pregnant?"

Ellie then asked: "So does that mean that you're going to get me pregnant?" To which he replied: "No", before exchanging a giggle with Ellie and hanging up.

Many viewers watching the moment from home quickly took to social media to comment their joy at seeing the pair back on their sofa and hearing Nat doing well over the phone.
