Dozens of roads have been left blocked in Greater Manchester this morning after trees fell down amid Storm Franklin.
Dramatic pictures from across the region show how gale force winds have brought down trees, with many landing on cars and blocking roads.
Some of the fallen trees have blocked main roads, causing traffic chaos in some areas.
One lane is currently shut on the M56 eastbound carriageway after a tree fell.
In Moston, dramatic pictures show a fallen tree which landed partially in the playground of a children's centre.
Nearby Lightbowne Road has been closed off.
Another huge tree fell onto a car on Kentmere Road in Timperley.
A large tree also fell across Bramhall Road in Stockport, leading to heavy traffic and long queues around the area.
Roads in Blackley, Middleton and Didsbury have been also been shut off due to fallen down trees.
Public transport has also been affected.
Some Metrolink services have been cancelled or delayed because of a fallen tree on the line between Monsall and Victoria.
The line is currently blocked between Queens Road and Victoria.
