Samia Longchambon has answered a question she says fans are always asking her when it comes to her Coronation Street character.
The soap star is best known for playing Maria Windass - nee Sutherland and Connor - in the ITV soap.
She's played the hairdresser for more than 20 years, after beating Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh and Hear'Say star Suzanne Shaw to land the role.
More recently, viewers have seen the mum-of-one turn eco-warrior over plans for a new bypass that would increase traffic and pollution in Greater Manchester.

And she's also turned to politics as she tries to get one over on Sally Metcalfe.
But it turns out Corrie viewers are more interested in Maria's hair.
Samia took to Instagram this week with a speedy video showing how she get's 'Maria ready'.
Filmed in her Corrie dressing room at the Salford-based set, the soap star said alongside the video: "I get lots of requests for how I do Maria's curls...
"Here's a very quick demo."
She then shares with fans her tips, including using TRESemme 's care and protect heat defence spray before getting stuck in with a curling tong.
"Tip: Change the direction of the barrel curl with each section so that the waves don't 'fall' into each other," she added on the video.
But that isn't her main hack.
"Always use a heat protector..." Samis, 39, said. "And the hair in the mouth trick speeds things up," she added alongside a laughing emoji.
And she's not the only Corrie star who has shared a beauty secret of late.
