Coronation Street star Alexendra Mardell has officially ended her time on the cobbles.

Alexandra revealed she's heading for pastures new after making her way to Weatherfield in 2018 as an apprentice hairdresser at Audrey Roberts' salon.
The bubble, pink-wearing character has endured her fair share of heartache and surprises on the street, specifically when discovering her dad was Steve McDonald.

"So overwhelmed by all the love. The Corrie family are just insane. To every person in that building, every viewer, family member and friend, I love you all and can’t thank you enough!
"I’ve said it countless times before but I’ll say it again, it’s been the best time of my life."
