Conor McGregor has appeared in court charged with driving offences including two counts of dangerous driving. The UFC star was stopped by gardai as he travelled in his Bentley Continental GT on the N4 in west Dublin earlier this year.
McGregor appeared at Blanchardstown District Court in Dublin for a two-minute hearing on Thursday morning (April 7). The 33-year-old fighter is charged with two counts of dangerous driving on March 22, as well driving without insurance and a licence and failing to produce a certificate of insurance or licence.
Garda Denis Lordan told the court this morning that the four charges were put to McGregor, who made no reply to each charge and was handed a copy of the charge sheet. McGregor’s solicitor Michael Staines told the court his licence and insurance were shown to police on Thursday morning.

District Judge David McHugh adjourned the case and remanded McGregor on continuing bail. The Irishman will next appear at the same court on June 23.
McGregor, wearing a grey blazer and navy trousers, did not speak during the court appearance. But answering questions from reporters outside, he said he is now going “straight back into training”. He told reporters: “I am going straight back in, and I am looking forward to getting back into it.”
Asked if he has an opponent in mind, he replied: “We will see what happens man. Taking it day by day. The leg is getting better every day and I am happy with that.”
McGregor has not fought since he broke his leg in his second defeat by Dustin Poirier last summer. He is expected to return to sparring this summer after predicting that a return fight could come in either July or August.
