Six people have been left with injuries after a serious crash between a car and a lorry on the M60.
The incident happened shortly after 7.30pm on the anti-clockwise stretch of the motorway between junctions 16 and 17.
One woman was left with serious injuries and was trapped in her car, meaning fire crews had to cut her out.
All traffic was held shortly after, with many drivers stuck in queues for more than three hours this evening, December 19.
The incident sparked a huge emergency response, with police, fire and ambulance crews all rushing to the scene.
The motorway was completely closed off shortly after.
