It's set to be a double celebration for Recardo Patrick on April 30 - not only is his stylish Hale venue starting a new live music night but it's also his birthday. To mark the beginning of a new series of live performances at Recardo's - the bar and club in Ashley Road - the Sweet Sensation frontman will be performing at 10pm, as part of an event which will include plenty of other sights and sounds to enjoy.
"I'm really excited about these new live music nights, as we all are," said Recardo, who is a businessman and events organiser. "There'll be stiltwalkers, firebreathers and I'll be taking to the stage to sing on my birthday - it's going to be a celebration all round."
Recardo, who had a worldwide hit in 1979 with Sad Sweet Dreamer, will be the main attraction for the evening, which heralds the new series of live music performances on Saturdays at the venue. Visitors can start to immerse themselves in the atmosphere from early evening, with half price drinks available in the cocktail bar from 5pm to 9pm.
As the night starts to build up in the club, visitors will be entertained by stiltwalkers and firebreathers - who'll be adding to the party atmosphere around the venue before Recardo's appearance on stage. Following this live performance, there'll be DJs entertaining the crowds with "The Real Housevibes of Cheshire" set of tunes.
Those looking to enjoy the vibes on the night can simply make their way there, although those booking up a table in advance are promised a VIP experience. The new live music nights are the latest addition at Recardo's, which had its VIP launch night in October 2021.
This two-storey venue in the heart of Hale village has become well known for the 70's, 80's and 90's classics that are played
