Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a dad in Ancoats are appealing for information about an incident in a shop that took place just 15 minutes before he was killed.
Neri Morse, 24, tragically died after an incident on Pollard Street, just outside of the city centre, at around 6.30pm on Wednesday, April 20. During this incident, a second man - also aged in his 20s - was injured.
In an update issued this afternoon (April 25), police said they believe this was linked an incident at Zaf's Go Local on Butler Street between 6.15pm and 6.25pm that evening. They are urging witnesses of this to come forward.

Police said a vehicle 'used by those responsible for Neri's death in the aftermath' was found in Kenwood Road in Reddish at around 11.45pm that night. Anyone with dash cam footage from this area is also being urged to get in touch with officers.
Rushaun Brown, of Higher Ardwick, Manchester has been charged with with Neri's murder. The 23-year-old has also been charged with an offence of section 18 grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon, namely a knife, in a public place.
He appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court today and was remanded into custody. A second 23-year-old man remains in police custody.
