For former Atomic Kitten, Kerry Katona, a trip to Doctor Nyla's cosmetic clinic in Cheshire is her 'perfect idea of me time', and a place she leaves feeling 'the best version of herself'.
Kerry said: "I think it's a real tragedy that young girls feel the need to plaster themselves in makeup, and many can't take a picture without applying an unrealistic filter over it before they would ever dream of sharing it. They're all so beautiful and their insecurities are so unjustified.
"Social media has a lot to answer for when it comes to the younger generation feeling insecure due to unrealistic standards of beauty, which is why I feel I owe it to myself and to them to always be very transparent about the work I've had done, and I would never use a filter. I have daughters, and I would never want them to compare themselves to people they see online, so I owe it to them to be the truest version of myself.
"Nobody should look at another person and feel they don't measure up, and it's devastating how many young people have unrealistic standards of beauty due to influencers and other personalities online. We should all feel comfortable in our own skin, and embrace the natural beauty we were born with.
"But for me, as a woman of 41, I should be allowed to tweak my appearance if I want to. I've been young, fresh-faced and wrinkle-free, and now that I'm starting to show the normal and natural signs of ageing, which are perfectly fine and beautiful, I feel I'm justified in doing something about it if I decide I want to, but I will always be honest about what I have done."
