There are emotional scenes on next week's Coronation Street as James Bailey leaves the famous cobbles. After his footballing career at Weatherfield County came to an end after being diagnosed with a heart condition, James finds a new job and a new life in London.
Ronnie tells James there’s a youth centre near Lewisham looking for a football coach. Realising it’s close to where boyfriend Danny lives, James promises to call them straight away. An excited James tells Ronnie that he got the job at the youth centre and starts tomorrow.
In the bistro, James breaks the news to the family that he’s landed a great new job, but it means moving to the capital. Aggie, Michael and Dee-Dee bid an emotional farewell.
