Maniac Panda Games has recently launched the pre-alpha version of their upcoming sci-fi arcade racing game, Racerloop. The game takes place in The Outer Ring universe, where players can experience the speed of 12 different ships through five unique circuits that feature a variety of scenarios, including futuristic spaceports, desertic tracks, and ancient settings. The pre-alpha version is available for free on the game's website. It allows players to test five different power-ups, such as the Mini Black Hole and the Ghost power-up, which introduce chaos and uncertainty to the gameplay.
In addition, the game will offer players the ability to customize their ships with upgrades and trade them with other players to gain a competitive edge. Racerloop also plans to add an optional blockchain layer outside the game that will enable players to trade their items as NFTs and receive GQ tokens as a reward.
The game is currently under development by a team of developers who have previously worked on successful titles such as Wipeout or for companies like Gameloft. Racerloop is expected to feature worldwide competitions with significant prizes in the future.
Furthermore, the company has announced that they will be sharing monthly DevUpdates to keep players up-to-date with the latest news, upcoming updates, and behind-the-scenes insights on the game's development. The Beta version of the game will be officially released on July 18, 2023, loaded with updates and new challenges. In the Beta, players will be able to customize their ships and start their career mode, testing all the skills they have acquired during the Pre-Alpha.
