The boss of North West Ambulance Service has ordered a 'full investigation' into delays caused by low-traffic neighbourhood schemes, the M.E.N can reveal.
CEO Daren Mochrie wrote to a resident in Stockport earlier this week outlining his concern over the issues.
The woman, who asked not to be named, says she has repeatedly tried to raise the alarm since road closures were introduced in Heaton Chapel as part of a Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) trial scheme in September.

A group of residents believe there has been at least 13 instances of ambulances getting stuck while responding to incidents in less than three months.
They claim the average delay to be around four-and-a-half minutes.
